As his menacing appearance makes people think Ryuji is a delinquent, it's difficult for him to meet people. On the first day of his second year of high school, he meets a small, cute, but strange girl named Taiga, who's better known as the Palm-Top Tiger, due to her extremely short temper. However Ryuji soon learns that Taiga is a good friend of Minori, the girl he secretly loves, and that Taiga also secretly loves Ryuji's good friend Yusaku. They decide to join forces to help out in each other's love lives.
