Millions of players are into global online fantasy world phenomenon Elder Tales, but in its 12th expansion pack something goes wrong, as 8-year veteran Shiroe and 30,000 other players are trapped in a no-longer-fictional universe. In this new world that's no longer the game they knew, they must make some serious adjustments. Former non-player characters are self-aware with their own objectives and seemingly incredible powers, creating a cataclysmic collision with Elder Tales people as Shiroe and fellow players Naotusgu and Akutuski discover what happens when sword and sorcery become real.
