Every day in grocery stores across Japan-after the discount stickers go up-there's a battle for any half-price bento boxes. Hungry people (especially high school students) engage in a knockdown, drag-out brawl to determine who gets these cheap meals. Shortly after a broke Sato is persuaded to join his high school's Half-Priced Food Lovers Club, he proves to the other club members-and the other food fighters-that he's becoming a rising talent in this world of insane food fights in the supermarket battlegrounds.
