Like thousands of Japanese middle-school students, Yuta Togashi had "Chunibyo," a condition of wanting to stand out so bad he believed he had secret knowledge and hidden powers. Starting high school, he's determined to end his delusional fantasy world and face life head on. The problem is Rikka Takanashi, a girl he meets who still has Chunibyo and who believes they're soul mates. Yuta thought his past was over, but being with Rika-who's drawing him into her fantasy world-he's not so sure now, especially when feelings start developing between them.
